Robert Lederman

Robert Lederman is in private practice in Jerusalem, Israel, He graduated with Honours from The City University (London) department of Optometry and Visual Science (1987). In 2001 he became Israel’s first optometrist to achieve Fellowship status from the  College of Optometrists in Vision Development. He is president of the Israeli chapter of that organization.

Lederman is an acknowledged leader in his field, with patient’s traveling to Jerusalem from around the world to consult with him about their vision. Together with his team of Optometric Vision Therapists, he has successfully treated thousands of people who have not found solutions to their visual challenges elsewhere. In many instances this has been a truly life-changing experience. His patient population includes children and adults with learning difficulties, people who have suffered a stroke or head-injury, those with AD(H)D, people on the Autistic spectrum and those with Down’s syndrome. 

Robert Lederman has spent much of his professional career clarifying how the visual demands of reading vary from language to language. He has given over 300 presentations about vision over the last 30 years both in Israel and internationally to varied audiences including teachers, neurologists, ophthalmologists, occupational therapists and psychologists. He has assessed the visual status of overt 15000 people. His regular webinars are attended by people across the globe. 

Robert Lederman lecturing

Robert is a visiting lecturer on the Master’s Degree program at the Safra Brain Research Center for the Study of Learning Disabilities, University of Haifa. He has lectured in the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology at the Technion, Haifa and in Istanbul where he was the keynote speaker at a Conference on Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia at the Ticaret University. There he lectured about visual aspects of dyslexia, and how it varies from language to language.

Yaakov Meiyer Leibovici

Yaakov Meiyer Leibovici became Israel’s first board certified Optometric Vision Therapist in 2005 He has a degree in psychology and  is also a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT). Yaakov Meiyer is absolutely one of the most experienced vision therapists on the planet! His patience and intuition is remarkable. But even more remarkable is his incredible ability to connect deeply, and form a relationship with everyone young and old. Some will say that working with Yaakov Meiyer was one of the most profound moments in their life.

Nechama Biedenfeld

Nechama’s been with us for 15 years. As a fully qualified optometrist she brings clinical understanding and contagious enthusiasm to her work. She is  a master of what she does, and  all her patients just love her. Her warm and palpable personality made her the obvious choice to be our on-line therapist, providing therapy for people from all over the world.

Elisheva Strich

Elisheva got off to an early start in this profession! She was already a vision therapist while studying for her Optometry degree. As a youth leader she led a group of children challenged with special needs. This experience, together with her calm, patient and encouraging personality makes her the ideal vision therapist. Elisheva’s patients of all ages love being guided by her in their journey to better vision.
